Today, I’m gonna teach you how to get massive traffic to your blog by keyword hijacking and improve your earnings. Keyword Hijacking is the same as Plagiarizing. However, Hijacking Keywords are very much legal unlike Plagiarizing. The difference between Plagiarizing and Hijacking is that, Plagiarizing is to copy the entire content of a blog including the Title. While Hijacking Keyword is to copy only the title or the keyword of the blog article.

I first encountered Keyword Hijacking last year when the two famous probloggers Mahrgil Macuha and Jehzeel Laurente hijacked my keywords. I was really sad that time when they copied my keywords because all the traffic that supposedly mine were transferred to them. I contacted them and they said that its called “Hijacking” and its legal. So I had nothing to do but to let them hijack my precious keywords. By the way, Mahrgil Macuha was the first to call this techniuqe as “Keyword Hijacking”.

For those of you who don’t want to be hijacked like me, then its the time for you to hide your stats or ranking widget from your blog. I’ll post here later an article on how to hide stats. Let’s first know how to Hijack Keywords. I am using this technuiqe when I was still a newbie blogger and until now.

HiJacking Keywords using Whos.Amung.Us Stats

First thing to do is to find blogs which are having massive traffic. You can know if a blog has a high traffic by looking for its alexa ranking. If the blog has an alexa rank of 100,000 below, then that blog is receiving massive traffic. To know the alexa rank of a certain blog, go to alexa.com and enter the blog address or just download the mozilla addon which I am using right now called SearchStatus.

If you’re lazy to find a blog which has a massive traffic, then I’ll give you a sample source: topblogs.com.ph. Go to that website and there, you can find high traffic blogs. So, how would you know if what keywords they are receiving traffic? To know, find blogs that have whos.amung.us stats. Some of bloggers hide their whos.amung.us stats. So you need to view the source of their page in order for you to see the stats. Here’s how to do:

  1. Open your chosen blog and wait for it to load completely.
  2. On the Menu Bar of the Browser, go to View > Page Source
  3. On the View Source Window, look for the URL: whos.amung.us
  4. Copy the entire URL (http://whos.amung.us/stats/******) and open it in a new window
  5. From that URL, you can see what keywords or blog posts the blog is receiving its highest traffic.Example (not mine):
  6. Now, it’s time to HiJack!!! Copy the keywords or the post titles that receive highest traffic and optimize them or bookmark using social bookmarking sites.
